Hoisin Glazed Salmon


  • 2 tbsp of hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of rice vinegar or freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Generous dash of ground pepper
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • Salmon fillet
  • Salt


  1. Mix first seven ingredients together to make marinade
  2. Marinate salmon in nonreactive dish for an hour or two
  3. Line baking sheet with a piece of foil
  4. Lay fish on foil. skin side down
  5. Bake for about 15  minutes at 300 until done. Broil for an additional 2 minutes to brown on top, but watch closely as the sugar in the sauce will quickly burn if left under the broiler for just a few seconds too long
  6. Season with salt to taste
