How to Make Perfect Hardboiled Eggs

Hardboiled eggs are an integral part of many dishes. Do not ruin an otherwise excellent dish by using hardboiled eggs with green around the yokes.

1. Place the eggs in a single layer at the bottom of a saucepan. Cover with an inch or two of cold water. Heat the pot on high heat until it comes to a rolling boil.

2. Turn off the heat, cover, and let sit on the hot burner, for 10-12 minutes. It is very hard to overcook eggs using this method even if the eggs sit, covered, for up to 15 or more minutes.
