Fanny Farmer’s Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of flour
  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • ½ cup of walnut meats very roughly chopped

Directions

1. Mix in bowl 3 ripe bananas, mashed, and 2 eggs, beaten until light.

2. Sift together 2 cups of flour, ¾ cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda

3. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients

4. Add the walnuts

5. Mix

6. Put in greased loaf pan 9 by 5 inches

7. Bake for approximately 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
